Megan & Michael
The Brief: Megan and Michael had planned their colour scheme and even Megan's dress when they first started discussing their event stationery. Rich browns and lush golds were employed as the colour palette for the entire set of stationery, and magestic, stylish type offset the design whilst still remaining clear for guests to read. Florishes added to a sense of elegance and style.

The Save The Date card was the first step in the design process, and featured the embroidery of Megan's dress in the background, and a pair of intertwined champagne glasses to envoke a celebratory theme. Each card was mounted to metallic creamy stock for added durability and to make each piece more tactile.

Megan had pre-purchased invitation folders in the same metallic stock as the backing mounts, so we worked with these as a base for the design for the invitations. As Megan and Michael lived in an entirely different state to where their wedding was being held, the invitation needed to cover a lot of bases: to provide their guest list with not only an invitation, but information about how to get to the ceremony and reception, and also a classic way of responding with their attendance - a RSVP card and provided envelope. Add to this information about their gift registry and the invitation became quite a package!

We decided to make the outer folder more of a 'title page' with the couple's own uniquely styled monogram, and then dedicated the inside folder to display both the invitation details, and housing the tiered information cards. A pre-printed envelope was slipped behind the RSVP card so guests could easily mail their response back to Megan and Michael.

After the beautiful event that was Megan and Michael's wedding, the newly-weds were very prompt in commissioning a thankyou card design, featuring their amazing wedding photography - don't they make a lovely looking couple! We decided on an exquisite gold frame to house the chosen photo, and a simple 'Thankyou' for the front, to keep as a momento. These cards were also mounted to the metallic cream backing, and Megan hand-wrote a thankyou note on each one, how's that for personalised!
I cannot say enough what a pleasure it was to assist Megan and Michael in creating their wedding stationery, they were dream clients and made wonderful new friends - I wish you both all the best!
